Feed Me Books Friday

I am so excited about this great idea my friend Janna had to share great kid books with other families! It's a great way to incorporate fresh reading materials into your home knowing in advance they will be good. I added a link to Feed Me Books Friday at the bottom of this post :-)

One of our favorite books to read is called "The Very Noisy Night." It tells the story of Big Mouse and Little Mouse at bedtime. Little Mouse has a hard time falling asleep because of all the funny noises he hears around them and Big Mouse is kept awake by Little Mouse. Any parent who has been kept awake at night by their little one will certainly smile at this one. The pictures are so perfect too - Little Mouse lies in his bed just like my Eóin does :-)  It is full of repetition which is great for little kids and you can have great fun making all the night time noises!

I took some video of Eóin reading it to Aidan about 6 months ago.  It's amazing to see the difference 6 months makes in his speaking - he sounds so much more like a baby still :-)

If you are interested in buying the book for yourself - here is a link to it on Amazon.

Awesome Job Karen! I so thankful for your recommendation. I have noticed that reading books where the child goes to bed at the end seems to prepare B to sleep or go "night, night."

I love how you attached a video as well.

I'll probably do a video now and then as well. I can't buy all these books but my library list and birthday wish list is growing!
